Root removing screw tools
Dental technology is improving and providing more tools that are functional and provide less traumatic treatments to the patients. Root removing screw is an excellent instrument for extracting the anterior teeth’s broken down roots.
The threading of this tool is meant to resemble an H file that locks when it is tightened. To make insertion easier, the tip is highly sharp and pointed. The handle is made to be comfortable to hold.
It is essential to use a root removing screw in a systematic and careful way. After cleaning the surrounding area of the broken down root, locate the broken down root and point the tool’s tip at the canal, pressing and rotating clockwise until it engages the tooth’s root tight enough that it holds the screw. But make sure not to tight it extremely, else it will crack the root and the surrounding bone as well. Â Attempt to align yourself with the tooth’s axis. Next, continue carefully to contact the root’s one-third. Once the root has been engaged, gently pull it out. It is not advised to make any unexpected movements from left to right or up and down.
Please note that overtightening the screw can shatter the tooth root.
Root removing screw tools length: 34.3 mm and 44.5 mm.
