A vacuum press furnace operates on the principle of applying extreme heat to lithium disilicate press ingots while maintaining a controlled vacuum environment. The furnace raises the temperature of the ingot to approximately 1,400 degrees Celsius, reaching its melting point.
By creating a vacuum, the furnace removes the surrounding air and reduces atmospheric pressure, preventing the formation of air bubbles or voids within the molten material. This vacuum environment ensures the integrity and quality of the final product.
Once the material has melted, it is carefully poured into a mold designed to achieve the desired shape and size. The molten material then undergoes a gradual cooling process, allowing it to solidify and harden.
During the cooling phase, the lithium disilicate material undergoes a transformation, resulting in enhanced strength and durability. The controlled cooling process minimizes the formation of internal stresses and allows for the development of a more uniform crystalline structure within the material.
It also works on the metal-fused porcelain workpieces.
